Expressions of love, sadness, happiness, anger and humour all find there way to the kitchen table. Lessons of life are passed on from generation to generation during the preperation of an endless array of fresh ingredients found in the rich aroma of the Italian kitchen. Recipes that we cherish today often find roots with mothers and fathers in times gone by. Pride and integrity bursting from every bite of food, every sip of wine that graced the kitchen table.

As a restless child, Sundays - late afternoon - looking for something to occupy my fidgeting little hands, to satisfy my bored imagination and my ever growing appetite - gravitating toward, (where else?) The kitchen!... La Cucina. Rescuing me from rain, the snow, the cold (my sister). With all the aromas and sounds that, at the time, meant as much as the current "Cross Canada Checkup" topic droning away on CBC radio. When dinner arrived with as much ceremony as a mother of two could muster at the end of a busy week... O.K., no ceremony, we dug in and ate, talked and laughed, debated topics of the day and ate some more. Our kitchen did what kitchens around the world have done for centuries... brought our family together.

Nicola and I hope that we can share that home cooked, home served feeling with you, your family and friends. Spend sometime around one of our tables. Laugh and talk. Try our food, drink some wine and enjoy some of our passions and experiences...
